About the Role
AgriExecs is partnering with a venture-backed, fast-growing AgTech company headquartered in the Netherlands to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer.
This confidential opportunity sits at the intersection of agriculture, data, hardware-enabled software, and international scale-up growth. The business is already commercially active across multiple global markets and is entering a pivotal phase focused on profitable growth, professionalisation, and value creation toward a medium-term exit.
The Opportunity
The incoming CEO will assume full responsibility for setting and executing the company’s next phase of growth. Working closely with an experienced leadership team and aligned investors, the CEO will:
Provide clear strategic direction and strong execution discipline Accelerate commercial performance and international expansion Strengthen organisational capability, culture, and scalability Lead external partnerships, investor relations, and future funding rounds Position the business for a successful exit within a 3–5 year horizon
This is a hands-on, outward-facing leadership role requiring strong customer engagement, commercial leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, VC-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Strategy
Define and execute strategic priorities aligned with ambitious growth targets Drive geographic expansion and portfolio evolution to increase total addressable market Translate strategy into measurable KPIs and execution plans
Commercial Excellence
Strengthen and evolve go-to-market and pricing models, with a focus on recurring and software-led revenues Build and lead a high-performing commercial organisation Develop and deepen strategic partnerships and key customer relationships Personally engage with major customers and partners where required
Leadership & Culture
Build, develop, and retain a high-calibre executive team Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and values-led culture Act as a visible and trusted leader across the organisation
Operational Excellence
Establish scalable operating rhythms, processes, and governance Drive continuous improvement across operations, quality, and execution Ensure organisational readiness for rapid growth and increased complexity
Innovation & Portfolio Development
Shape the strategic roadmap for technology, data, and service innovation Identify adjacent growth opportunities and new capabilities aligned with market demand
Candidate Profile
Experience
Proven CEO, General Manager, or senior business leader with significant P&L responsibility Track record of scaling growth businesses and leading professionalisation phases Strong commercial background (sales, marketing, business development) Experience with hardware-enabled software, industrial technology, or data-driven solutions Backgrounds of interest include AgTech, ag-adjacent software, industrial technology, animal health, chemicals, or related sectors Experience in VC-backed or PE-backed environments, including fundraising and shareholder management Strong international leadership experience; EU experience essential, US exposure highly desirable

Location & Compensation
The role offers flexibility across Northern / Central Europe, with a requirement for regular presence at the company’s Dutch headquarters and significant international travel.
An attractive executive compensation package is on offer, including base salary, bonus, and meaningful participation in a long-term incentive plan aligned with value creation and exit outcomes.
