About the Role

We’re collaborating with a mission-driven organization to recruit a Product Formulation Chemist who will work at the intersection of insecticidal chemistry and polymer/material processing (e.g., impregnation, heat setting, extrusion, coatings) to design innovative, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.

By leveraging scientific expertise and collaborating across teams, the role aims to develop groundbreaking solutions that protect communities from pests, support global health initiatives, and drive the commercialisation of advanced products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop insecticidal formulations and delivery systems and lead and support the development of textiles and other substrates with insecticidal/biocidal formulations, using methods such as impregnation, coating, film extrusion, and heat-setting.

  • Identify, evaluate, and incorporate novel active ingredients and delivery systems (including
    biodegradable or natural alternatives).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical findings into commercial prototypes.

  • Support testing, regulatory documentation, and scale-up with external partners


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • MS/PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.

  • 3+ years in formulation development, ideally including insecticidal/biocidal actives or polymer extrusion.

  • Experience with polymer surface treatment or materials processing.

  • Experience with sustainability in formulations or materials  (e.g., biodegradable polymers, low-impact carriers)
