About the Role
The Country Director, US, is responsible for establishing, leading, and expanding our client's strategic presence across the United States. Acting as the company’s primary external representative in the region, the Country Director enhances visibility and credibility in key markets, while serving as a vital liaison with global headquarters.
This leadership role oversees local operations, represents the organisation in high-level strategic forums, and cultivates strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Country Director also plays a critical role in supporting research and development, driving product and business initiatives, and ensuring a compliant, high-performing work environment.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in a consulting environment, advocacy, and/or development sector, with a desire to move into a business role.
- Prior experience with or within the development sector or global health is highly desirable.
- Experience in agricultural technologies is a plus.
- Ability to learn and integrate concepts across business, science and health domains.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of local operations while collaborating with global teams.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and representing the organisation externally.
- Interest in rapid growth and openness to expanding responsibilities.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
