About the Role
We're excited to be partnering with a high-growth AgTech start-up on a mission to transform how specialty crops are grown and supported. As they move from an R&D-driven foundation to becoming a trusted agricultural services company, they’re looking for a Director of Business Development to lead the charge.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial future of a cutting-edge company and make a tangible impact on the farming industry.
Main Responsibilities:

Lead business development strategy, combining direct farmer engagement with broader strategic efforts across marketing, partnerships, and commercialisation.

Build and manage a high-quality sales funnel, tracking opportunities, identifying key buying influences, and driving deals to close.

Define and execute go-to-market strategies for core and future products- including pricing, positioning, onboarding, and farmer success.

Engage with growers, field managers, and other influencers to build relationships, learn from the field, and communicate the ROI of the technology.

Represent the business in strategic discussions with partners, industry groups, and investors to grow awareness and build trust in our solution.

Own the development of marketing and sales content - case studies, press releases, presentations, one-pagers, and digital campaigns.

Collaborate with the leadership team to refine the business plan, forecast revenue, and build long-term customer success models.
Key Experience:

A strong track record in business development for technical B2B products, ideally in AgTech or robotics

Experience launching products and driving adoption in specialty crop markets
-
Strategic leadership experience through scaling stages
-
A commercial mindset and team-building capability
-
Experience with strawberries (a definite plus!)
